Who says a bulletin board has to be boring? Dress up the boring corkboard over your desk, with an exotic animal-print frame. Just follow these tips from Myjellybean.com to take your memo board from mild to wild! (Note: You can find the supplies needed at craft and fabric stores. Bulletin boards are widely available at school and office supply shops).
-Bulletin board of any size, with a simple wood frame
-Craft paint for the board's frame (in whatever color you choose to match the fur)
-Craft paint brush
-Measuring tape
-Faux fur fabric (get enough to cover your board)
-Good pair of scissors
-Stapler
-Fabric glue
-Butter knife
Grab your paintbrush and paint the frame of your bulletin board with craft paint. Let dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Measure the length and width of the cork part of the bulletin board (the area inside the wooden frame). Using your sharp scissors, cut the faux fur fabric to approximately 1/4-inch wider and longer than the cork area measurements.
Squeeze a thin layer of fabric glue all over the cork part of the bulletin board. Carefully center and adhere the fabric to the board, pressing gently to help it bond.
Use your butter knife to gently push the extra fur fabric under the frame of the bulletin board.
Staple around the entire perimeter of the frame, on top of the fabric, to fasten the edges securely.
Allow glue to dry completely before hanging up your awesome new bulletin board.
