BEAD WATERFALL CURTAIN

Glam up your bedroom with a gorgeous bead waterfall curtain! This craft can help transform any window or doorway into a glistening waterfall effect. Just follow these easy instructions from Myjellybean.com.

Note: You can use any kind of beads, for a different style of curtain, but we like clear plastic or glass beads to get a pretty "waterfall" effect. You could get a similar effect by using transparent blue beads, or a mixture of transparent blue and clear. You can find all the supplies needed, except for beads, at the hardware store.

What You'll Need:

-Thread or string (use a light color such as white - you can even )
-Clear plastic or glass beads from the craft store - get all the same beads, or choose different shapes and sizes
-Curtain rod and brackets (measure your doorway so you get the right size curtain rod)
-Eye hooks
-Ruler
-Pencil

Step One:

Using the ruler and pencil, mark the rod at equal intervals. Screw in the eye hooks at the points marked.

Step Two:

Cut your string (or thread) into sections, one for every mark on the rod. Each thread section should be about two-inches longer than the desired length of your curtain. (Standard curtain length is 75 inches, but take your own measurement from the top to the bottom of your doorway).

Step Three:

On each thread section, tie a double-knot on one end. This will be the bottom of the curtain strands.

Step Four:

Thread the beads onto your pieces of string. When you are finished with each length of your bead curtain, tie a double-knot at the top end. You'll need to put the knot right next to the last bead, and MAKE SURE to leave three to four more inches of thread available.

Step Five:

At the top end of each curtain strand, where you left the extra thread, make a loop for hanging, tying it tightly at the bottom.

Step Six:

Attach your completed curtain strands to the curtain rod, by placing the top loops onto the eye hooks.

Step Seven:

Attach the curtain rod brackets above the window or doorway, and place the curtain rod on the brackets.
