Whether you've got straight, wavy or naturally curly hair, we've got tips to help you create totally fabulous-looking curls!
Want Jessica Simpson-esque curls? Grab your hot rollers and let's get started! (Tip: The smaller the roller, the more defined the curl will be.)
Wash and blow dry hair.
Apply volumizing mousse or styling cream from roots to ends.
Divide hair into 1 to 2 inch sections.
Spritz each section with a setting spray.
Roll the hair under on hot rollers and pin or clip in place.
Let hair set for 10 to 20 minutes, then gently remove rollers.
Flip your hair over and gently run your fingers through your hair.
If curls seem too tight, gently comb fingers through your hair to loosen the spirals.
If you want, spray with extra-hold hair spray to prolong the life of your curls.
Before bedtime, wash hair and towel-dry.
Spritz hair all over with a curl booster or volumizing spray.
Cut J-cloths into strips and roll each strip into a long cylinder.
Divide damp hair into one-inch sections.
Place the cloth against your scalp and wi.nd hair around it, tying the ends of the cloth together to hold the curl in place.
Leave them in overnight.
In the morning, remove the cloth strips and check out your curls!
If you have wavy hair, you're lucky! You can switch easily between poker-straight and curly hair.
Wash and towel-dry hair.
Spritz it all over with a texturing product such as Bumble and Bumble 's Surf Spray.
Scrunch hair with hands as it dries to create a messy, undone curliness.
Wash and blow-dry hair (don't use a brush, just get it dry).
Take pieces from around the hairline and twist 'round a curling iron. (The larger the curling iron, the more casual the curl).
If you want very tight curls, twist the hair section into a coil first before winding it round the iron.
To hold and define the curls once finished, spritz with extra-strength hairspray.
Got curls already? Love your curls so much more by getting rid of frizz.
Wash and condition hair. Gently blot away excess water with a towel.
Apply anti-frizz serum.
Comb it through and then push the hair back into its curl.
Take sections of your hair, curl them round your finger and place in a pincurl, securing the coil of hair with a clip.
If you have time, let your hair dry naturally but if not, use a diffuser - don't overheat!
When dry, shake the hair out and run your fingers gently through it to loosen curls.
Wash and condition hair. Gently blot away excess water with a towel.
Apply a mixture of mousse and anti-frizz serum (not too much of either!) and comb through hair.
Scrunch-dry your hair as you air dry it, or use a diffuser. Dry slowly, without much movement, scrunching your hair at the roots.
Once it's dry, avoid handling your hair too much. Do not use a hairbrush, which will make the curls fuzzy (use a comb if you need it). .
