HAIR STYLES FOR THE BEACH OR POOL
Want to look your best at the beach this summer? Easy peasy, lemon squeezie! Check out these ideas for minimum-effort, maximum-cuteness hairstyles from Myjellybean.com.

Braid At The Beach
To get this easy summer style, start by spraying your hair all over with a leave-in conditioner and gently combing it though your hair. Part your hair in the middle or to the side. Pull your hair back into a low ponytail at the base of your neck. Braid the ponytail into one thick, basic 3-strand braid. Secure the braid with a colored ouchless elastic band. Their is nothing more flirty than a thick braid flipped over the shoulder when you're wearing a strappy tank or bathing suit! Add shades and a cute hat or bandana tied around your head and you have the perfect beach look... plus, your hair is being conditioned while you play.

Rolled-Up Braid At the Beach
Follow the instructions above for Braids At The Beach, but take the finished braid and twist it to the right, forming a nice round bun. Attach clips or chopsticks (or whatever hair accessories you love) to your braided bun for extra flirt power.

Pigtails At the Beach
Our research shows that guys totally flip for girls in pigtails! Tuck all your hair behind your ears and center-part it from the front of your head crown to the nape of your beck. Then, tightly braiding each side, forming two pigtails. Secure with hair-friendly elastics. If you have an extra bandana, score extra cute points by cutting two long and wide strips and using them as "ribbons" to tie around the elastics.

Twisted Beach Bun
Start while your hair is still damp. Apply a light leave-in conditioning spray. Make a low ponytail at the nape of your neck. Hold the ponytail with the thumb and index finger of your right hand and twist the ponytail up and to the right. Remove your thumb and continue to twist around the remaining index finger. Continue twisting until you have a nice round bun that will sit on the middle of your head. To hold the bun in place add chopsticks, a big fat barrette at the end of the twist to hold the bun, stick in a bunch of bobby pins, or clip it with the wide-toothed butterfly clips made by Goodie.

Curly Buns
Make a low ponytail at the nape of your neck and apply leave-in conditioner. Hold the ponytail closed with the thumb and index finger of your right hand. Twist the ponytail hair down and to the right to form a type of long, fat curl (sort of like a twisted banana). Take the tail of the curl and pin underneath the curled part against the scalp. You will have a long hanging nape-level curl. Tres chic!

Messy Beach Buns
We see so many girls wearing this style, and it looks cute on just about everyone! To make a messy beach bun, you can start with either a very high or middle-of-the-head ponytail. Be sure and apply leave-in conditioner. Wrap the ponytail into a bun by twisting it, or tuck the end of the ponytail back under the elastic holding the ponytail, to hold it in place. Pull a few select ends of hair out of each side, letting the hair just fall in tendrils to the sides of your face. This looks adorable on curly and straight haired girls alike!

Slicked Back Beach Bun
Apply lots of leave-in conditioner and then apply a shine product like Redken Glass or Aveda's Shine. Pull your hair back into a ponytail that is either high or at the middle of the head, depending on where you want the bun on your head. Wrap the ponytail into a bun. You have a choice of wearing the bun at its natural height and thickness and adding clips, pins or chopsticks or pinning the bun tightly to your head. The key with the slicked back bun is to give the hair a really shiny, wet look.
