Half Up, Half Down, All Gorgeous!

This hair style works for all hair types (straight, wavy or curly) and can be done on medium or longer lengths.

Start by washing hair and towel drying.

Work a glob of mousse into hair for volume (make sure to coat all your strands).

Then blow-dry with your head upside down to add volume at the roots.

When hair is dry, gather the front portion of hair (just the part over your forehead), loosely twist it back and pin it to the crown of your head. Do the same with the sections on either side of your head (from ears up) and pin those at the top of your head too.

If your hair's longer than shoulder-length, you can twist the bottom ends together, fold under and pin the ends into a loose bun at the nape of your neck to transform your style into a sexy shoulder-length, movie-star style bob.

Loosey Goosey Braids

This style works well on hair that is shoulder-length or longer.

Starting with clean, dry hair, divide your hair into 5 or 6 sections.

Gather each section near the hairline with an invisible (clear) elastic band, make a loose braid and secure the ends. (Don't make the braids tight or perfect, the whole point is to leave them looser than normal).

Gently pull at the sides of each braid so they get a bit wider and looser than normal, but don't pull so hard the braids come out. (You can always rebraid if that happens).

For a fun and flirty decoration to add the finishing touch, tie ribbons in colors that match your dress around the bottoms of your braids.

Straight and Stunning

This style is great for curly-haired girls who want to go sleek and straight for the evening.

Start by applying a straightening balm like KMS Flat Out Relaxing Balm or Citre Shine Straightening Balm to wet hair. Comb through.

Blow dry hair with a large, round brush, starting with the layers underneath in the back and working your way to the top in the front. (Use clips to pin up layers you're not working on, to keep them out of the way.) Use the brush to pull sections

of hair tight and straight as you dry. Make sure to use high heat and a concentration nozzle on your blow dryer.

When you're finished drying, spray on shine and control flyaways with a product such as Pantene Pro-V Shine On Glossing Spray or Sebastian Laminates Shine Spray. Run your hands over hair to seal in the shine.

Then part hair in the center and secure each side of your hair in place with a pretty barrette or hair pin.

For added glamour, decorate your finished style with floating hair gems.

Romantic Undo

This "undo" is a fancy way to wear your hair down. Especially good for making fine hair look fuller, this pretty style features loosely tumbling romantic curls.

Start your style prep in the shower with the right products, to hydrate and boost strands. Wash hair with a volumizing shampoo, and follow with a light conditioning rinse. Wash out the products very well, then pat (don't rub) hair with a towel to remove excess water.

Massage a volumizing product into the roots of hair. Using your fingers, apply a handful of volumizing mousse all over your hair. Comb through to distribute evenly.

Set blow-dryer on medium heat and dry hair while gently finger-combing from your crown to the ends.

Once hair is dry, set your inch-and-a-half curling iron on a high setting.

Create a two-inch side part, then separate hair into four sections and clip each section up.

Beginning at the back of the head and working with one-inch sections of hair, hold the curling iron on the vertical (the way the curls will fall), and wrap the sections of hair in a spiral around the iron. Hold and release, and don't touch the curl.

Continue throughout hair, working your way to the top of the head.

When all curls are set and cool, gently separate with your fingers until desired style is achieved.

Place barrette(s) where desired and lightly mist with a finishing spray.

Romantic Updo

This style makes you look like a fairy princess who's just been kissed awake from her beauty sleep!

Starting with clean, dry hair, spray hairspray on a small section of hair at the top of your head. Softly twirl it around to form a natural U-shape, and pin the ends to your head.

Repeat all over, overlapping pieces for texture.

Let some strands on the sides and back tumble down naturally (leave them unpinned) for a romantically tousled look.

To up the romance quotient, tuck hair jewels into hair, or top your head with a beautiful fabric flower (as shown) or a headband decorated with little jewels and/or flowers.

Princess Braid

This style is the utmost in classic elegance for long-haired girls. It looks simply pretty from the front. But from the back, it's utterly fancy and romantic. (Hint - Unless you're amazing at braiding the back of your hair, you might want to ask a friend to help you with this style).

Start with clean, dry hair. Divide a small triangular section of hair from the top of your head and split it into three equal sections of hair.

Begin braiding the hair by placing the left section over the right, right secion over the left. Make sure you hold your hair out from your head when forming the braid to give the style a loose and ultra soft feeling.

Pick up a narrow section of hair from each side at the front or your hairline and work it into the braid.

Braid seven complete times (seven braid knots), before taking another section of hair from each side of your head and pulling them into the braid. Repeat process.

Continue until you come to the ends - your braid should stop approximately half way down the back of the head.

To pin the hair in place, part the back hair and take a small section from the nape of your neck at the center back. Link top braid to this section, continuing the braiding to secure the two pieces of hair together.

Comb hair over the ends, secure with an invisible elastic and mist with hairspray. Add flowers or hair jewelry (as pictured) to complete the style.

Chic Curled Updo

This totally elegant style works well on hair that is shoulder-length or longer.

Start with clean, dry hair. Apply a few drips of silicone serum to the hair, to give it gloss and staying power.

Pull all your hair back into a sleek ponytail and secure it with an invisible elastic at the nape of the neck.

Take one-third of hair from the top of the ponytail and use fingers to roll it into a large pin curl. Secure the curl to just above the ponytail elastic with bobby pins. (Tip: Use pins that match your hair color, so they're not noticeable in the final hairstyle).

Split the remaining hair into two sections, under the ponytail elastic.

Roll each of these two sections into large pin curls underneath and to the sides of the ponytail elastic. Secure each in place with bobby pins.

Finish by carefully spreading out each individual curl, by gently pulling on the sides a bit to loosen them and make them soft-looking (easy does it). Add bobby pins as needed to secure the curls.

Use hands to sleek hair gel or pomade on the crown and sides of the head to smooth flyaways.
