BODY LANGUAGE THAT SAYS HE'S INTO YOU
He's Sitting Up Straight.
If your date has good posture when you're sitting at a restaurant table talking, he's paying attention to what you're saying. If he was bored (or just ill-mannered), he'd slouch down in his seat.
He Makes Good Eye Contact.
If your date keeps looking into your eyes and holding the gaze, you've got it made.
He Leans Forward When He Talks to You.
He's trying to get closer and bridge the gap between you. A good sign!
Innocent Physical Contact.
If he holds your hand, touches you on the arm during conversation or puts his hand on your back to guide you towards where you're going, that's an excellent sign that he is really into you.
He Mirrors Your Actions.
Pay attention to whether your date is in sync with you and constantly reflecting your behavior. Does he shift in his seat when you do? When you run your hand through your hair or lean your face on your hand, does he do the same thing? Is he talking at the same rhythm and speed as you? He's not just playing copycat - this kind of mimicry occurs naturally (both in humans and in animals!) when two people are connecting for real.
BODY LANGUAGE THAT SAYS HE'S NOT HAVING FUN
His Arms are Crossed.
Uh oh, take note when a date does this, especially when you are facing each other, like across a cafe table. He's trying to put a wall up between you. It's possible he doesn't like what you are saying.
He's Yawning.
This is a bad sign that he's bored - unless it's really late, or he stayed up all night arranging songs and burning you a CD the night before.
He's Not Making Eye Contact.
If your date is looking at everything in sight except you, he's showing a real lack of interest.
He's Fidgety.
If he's wiggling around in his seat, tapping his toes, drumming his fingers, generally fidgeting and restless, he is giving signs of being bored.
He's Nowhere to Be Found.
It seems too obvious, but it's worth mentioning. If you take your date to a party and he leaves your side for most of the night, he's not too worried about other guys chatting you up. Or he's busy doing some chatting up of his own, with some other girl.
