We have this thing every friday night at the school where you can dance and talk to your friends and just hang out. There is this guy I am crushing on, and I would like to ask him to dance. But the thing is, he is really popular, and whenever I see him there, he is with all of his friends. I don't want to ask in front of them, too embarressed. He is cute, funny, nice, and smart, but I don't no how to ask him without humilating myself. Please help!

You're right - asking him to dance in front of his friends is way risky. You need to find a way to get him to ask you! I suggest walking up to your crush to say "hi" at the dance. Walk over on your own, without a friend or posse. Compliment something he's wearing ("Nice shoes") and just chat for a sec. Then you can appear to realize what music is playing, and say, "Omg, I totally love this song!" If he's got a clue, he'll ask you to dance. If he doesn't, take the hint and go back to your friends. (Start dancing with them anyway - and maybe your crush will end up joining you). Good luck!
