FRUSTRATED WITH HAIR

Dear Jellybean,

My hair is always causing problems for me. It is dirty blond, an inch or so past shoulder-length, and tapered in the front. I can never seem to find the right products for washing and styling my hair, because it gets frizzy and "rough" when I let it air-dry, so the only time it looks good it if i blow-dry and straigten it, and I rarely have time to blow-dry it before I go to bed! (I'm not able to take showers in the morning.) I'm so frustrated because I can never get my hair to look nice and I'm not even sure if I have the right hair cut & style for me! Please help!

It sounds like you're in the market for a hair consultation. Most good salons will provide a free consultation, to help you decide what haircut, styling technique and products are best for your hair. If you like what you hear, and see other people at the salon whose hair looks good, you can go ahead and book a regular appointment to get your hair done. If you're not that impressed, move on - you have no obligation to go to a hairdresser unless you really like them. t, and confirm that they offer this for free before you travel to visit them.

If you know anyone whose hair always looks amazing, ask where they get it done, and start by calling their salon. Or, just look up Hair Salons in your local phone directory and start calling places near you. Be sure to let them know you want to book a consultation only, not a haircut, and confirm that they offer this for free before you travel to visit them.
